Premature tire wear *pics* whats wrong?

What wrong with this picture? lol

I don't know why all my tires in the front wear like this. The back wear great still on the same set but the front is the second set and look at this one, it went flat from wearing all the way through.

I have sprint springs, is this a common problem, maybe my camber is off?

Or could it be my aggressive driving? But if that was it, why would it just wear the inside like that?

Any help appreciated thanks..

looks like you still have decent tread on the outside. maybe they were over inflated? when was the last time they were balanced or you got an alignment?

how many miles have you had those??

Ok I did the math, it was ~8 months for the first set on the front, and ~8 months for the second set.

The back still have awesome tread like average 5mm. The maximum tread in the front is about 1.5mm, but the rest is bald.

The back are I guess 16months old.

I do approx. 1500 miles a month.

camber and poss toe wear....if the tires are smooth then most likely excessive camber wear....is your car lowered???? if it is ....I would recommend camber bolts and a alignment...later

I had the same problem in my lowered Integra. Your springs are sagging causing negative camber . You either need a camber kit or new springs up front.

go get an alignment done and you will find out your problem...it is excessive negative camber...you will continue to wear through front tires like that if you don't bring your front camber specs to at least to OEM specs...

Well does everyone with Sprints have this problem? Did they have to go get a camber kit?

I did. Some people don't, but lots of people do. You can buy the Eibach camber bolts for $30 from SouthWest AutoWorks, and get them installed for $70 at Firestone.

your camber is way off, probably need camber bolts. Also the tire looks like it's been overinflated (treads more worn in the center)

Definitely alignment, camber needs to be corrected. If your car is lowered, it might not be possible to correct it w/o a camber kit. That's usually the trade off when you lower your car, tires will never wear out evenly. And when you buy really good expensive performance tires, its a drain in the wallet to have to go thru tires that easily.

Yeah Tyler, i'm going to have to agree you need a camber kit (bolt)....your wheels never looked out of alignment before...

I agree.. same exact thing happened to me... i was very upset considering that i just spent $220 per tire on them not even 4 months before i saw what happened. the tires were out of this world, but they wore out prematurely.

You will have to get camber bolts or grind some metal off of the strut to get the right camber specs as there is no other way to adjust camber on our cars.

hahha the exact same thing happens to my buddies buick all the time. but its from doing burnouts. heh but he gets free tires so its a moot point. you need to do this:
alignment - which will tell you if you NEED camber bolts(they try to align them correctly and if they can't because the camber is to far off then you need to get them)
new tires.

Suspensions that are toe'd OUT wear in inside of their tread. Excessive toe IN will wear the outside of the tires.

Camber is an obvious thing to check. You can often 'eyeball' it to see if it's excessive. If you can SEE the tire leaning in at the top, chances are, you've got too much negative camber. Combine this with toe OUT, and you've got a serious TIRE EATER on your hands!

Get an alignment.

Good Luck!
