i was hoping i can get a good deal on Pilots A/S, but i guess not.

so my other choices are these tires:

Continental ContiExtremeContact
Toyo Proxes 4 or FZ4
Falken 512
Potenza 950

any recommendations? tirerack has great reviews but they don't carry toyos and falkens.

I ordered the Continental ContiExtremeContact last night. Great reviews on this tire and have personally driven an Acura CL Type S with these which helped me make my decision.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE950 is a great tire! I got them for my '01's stock 16" wheels after the original Toyo Proxes were no longer any good. They are an improvement over the Proxes in dry weather, and fantastic in wet weather. When it rains a bit on the heavy side and the freeway isn't too packed, I love the rush of driving around quick with those tires.

When I got them, my local Wheel Works (also known as Tires Plus, Olson Tire, Hibdon Tire Centers, and Michel Tire) matched the TireRack.com price which was nice, so I had everything put on by them.

Highly recommended tire. I only wish Bridgestone makes the RE950 for the stock 17" wheels for the '01 that I have sitting in my garage. Oh well.

Peace.

yeah, 215/55/16 = $82

i read alot of good reviews about conti's but my only concern is the cheap price.

i mean pilots a/s are the best tires and they cost $170, and $82 for a tire is pretty cheap for a good one.

can you fit 225/50/16 instead of the stock 215/55/16?

Think that'll be a problem?

225 u can do, 50 i don't know, i guess. but why do this? 225 will only hurt handling, and 50 will make the ride rough
