Falken 512 Side Wall too soft for big wheels?

What do you guys think?? I want to go with 245/40-18 on my new wheels but I'm worried about the side wall softness = bent rim!!!

i have the falkens on my 19's with no problems for almost 2yrs.

the only other tire i would buy is the nitto 555.

stay away from toyo.

Thanks. It probably depends on quality of the wheels more than the tire. I'm going with Axis wheels, hopefully I'll be safe.
