225/50/16 ok for stock se wheel?
Will 225 fit the stock 97' se wheel or will it be too wide?

i am looking to get the falken ze-512 225/50R/16 92V

it will fit but most recommend you stick with 215 width, you will most likely have better handling with 215.

i'm on my second tires with 225's on my stock 16's . . handling is better and it looks nicer
