...not very impressive to me.

RSAs are the only tires I've ever spun out on. The dry performance might be okay, but when it gets wet, prepare to be sliding to a stop at every red light. Worst wet performance I've ever seen.... ever. Probably quite a bit worse than RE92s. The tirerack survey also indicates their horrible horrible wet performance. In addition, they are expensive, and you can easily purchase a Z rated wonderful dry/wet tire for cheaper.
In conclusion, these are very dangerous tires in the wet, you will most definately get into an accident (just like I did).
If you're reluctant to get high performance tires, keep in mind that when you buy performance tires you're not just buying performance, you're buying safety. High performance tires allow you to swerve harder and brake faster without loosing control of your car.
If you really want a good performing ultra cheap tire, look at the Sumitomo HTR 200. Amazing for their price, even ask Dave B, he's had a set. If you don't mind spending a bit more, the Bridgestone Potenza RE750s, Yokohama AVS ES100, and probably everything else at the top of http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/uhp.jsp are very good tires.

Don't get them. They were the stock tires on my sawblades. They were horrible. I couldn't wait to get rid of them. It rain quite a bit down here, and everytime it rain, I had to drive very carefully because the poor wet traction.
RSA's come stock on police cars. They are OK for dry traction, but are lousy in the wet (on Crown Vics, I haven't tried them on a FWD). I also had to get them replaced every 3000-5000 miles (I drove hard. Luckily I didn't have to buy them, the city did
).
I now have Bridgestone Potenza RE750's on my '97 Max with stock 16's. Excellent tire so far. Very quiet and comfortable (not rock-like) for a W rated tire. Above excellent grip wet or dry. Their wet traction is better than my old Daytona HR4's were in the dry (and I liked those tires). I have not been able to get them to hydroplane, and I've tried a few times to test them out. I can't comment on treadwear yet, because I only have about 1000 miles on them so far. I believe the treadwear is 340, but I could be mistaken. If it is, they should last a decent time (30,000 or so). You can check them out at tirerack.com. I paid about $120 each locally for 225/55/16's, so they aren't terribly expensive, either.
Tirerack ranked them #3 out of 47 ultra high performance tires.
After using RSA's on police cars, I wouldn't even put them on my wife's 4 cylinder Nissan pickup. But that's just my opinion.

Bridgestone RE92's are commonly referred to as rolling Deathtraps, as they are relatively lousy and come stock on lots of "performance" vehicles these days.
Back in 1995 or so when the gen4 Maxima was new, the stock tires were Toyo Proxies A05's and Goodyear Eagle RS-A's.
They were both known as "teflon donuts" and "rolling deathraps."
Stay away. Stay far, far away.
