I want to get 20004 SL 17x7 rims but put my rubber from 2k max on them? (225/50/17) originally 2004's come with 225/55-17

17x7 is the stock 2k size. They'll fit.

First, your speedo will be off by about 3%, which is at the upper limit. Secondly, why would you put Craptenza (I'm assuming it's the rubber from 2000 SE) on your rims? I noticed that you live in NYC? Good luck with the snow, bro.

Why would his speedo be off? He is taking the OEM 225s and putting them on different rims (from an '04)=same tires that were on the car originally.

Right. But he is taking his 225/50s and putting them on the gen 4 rims. What part of this don't you understand?

2000 = 5th gen

When did he mention 4th gen rims?
