going from 18 lb wheel to a 31 lb wheel

My rota 18x7.5s weight about 18 lbs and theres a wheel I been thinking about that are 18x8 but the thing is that they weight 31 lbs each. how much worse will that be? how slow will that make it? I wont be drag racing in these but just for daily driving and occasional acceleration fun is what Im worried about.

18x8s. Yes you will definately feel the difference. Not too much. I would describe it as maybe the difference the intake would make. Or a little less than when you use the AC. Something like that. 31lbs is ALOT heavier. I felt a difference from going from my stock 15s to the 17x8s I have now. These rims are only about 20-22lbs each.

It's like adding approximately adding 416 lbs of weight.

the wheels I was looking at were ASA ST3 which are supposed to be comming out march 31st according to the tirerack guy I talked to. More luxury than performance I guess.

IMHO, they don't look good enough to weigh that much.

I guess I might have to seach around for a lighter set of wheels.

The thing is Im trying to get away from the sporty race wheel look and go for a classy luxury oem'ish style look. Borbet typeE was another option but they are only in 17s
