will these tires fit?
Will 225/50/16 or 225/45/17 size tires fit on my 96 Max? I was under the faq's on maxima.org and these two weren't mentioned

depends what size wheels you got now. They are completely two different size tires

I would put 16x5 on the 225/50/16 or 17x5 on the 224/45/17

those wheels are not wide enough for that size tires.

01 OEM tires are 225/50/17 on 17 X 7. You want the wheels to be at least 7" wide. 5" is not wide enough.

You're right I'm sorry that was a typo, but would 16x7's on 225/50/16 fit on a 96 max? or would 17x7's on 225/45/17 fit?

I'm pretty sure they would. There are people w/ 5th gen OEM wheels on their 4th gen
