widest and lowest profile tires to put on stock 99.5 SE wheels?

Hey guys, I am about to get some new tires...coming up closer to the summer. I was wondering if someone could tell me from their experience the lowest profile and widest tires that can fit on the stock 99.5 SE wheels? I am probably going with some Falkens, if they make it in the size needed. I have looked, but cannot remember exactly. 225/50-R16?

Also, I don't want to have my odometer/spedometer affected any more than necessary...I have enough trouble with tickets.......ha ha.

Thanks ahead of time

okay. cool. I guess that is what I was also asking...can I get any wider or shorter profile without changing my rims. What is the best performance size for those wheels?

go for the 225/50/16's they will change the speedo a little....it will read 62-63mph at a true 60mph so it can help keeping the tickets down ...note if your car is stock height the fender gap will look even larger 245/50 would be a better height but I think it is to wide for the stock rim

I know there is wheels gap, but I want the lowest profile tires available for that rim. I just want some better handling for right now.

What do you think of them, 1fstmax? Do you like the ride quality and all?

Okay, if I didn't care about it changing the odo and spedo, what is the widest tire that will fit on there? Will the 245/50/16 even fit on the rim?

245/50 will fit but will look fat on a 6.5" rim since an 8" rim would be recommended for a 245/50.... I think you would lose he sharpness of a properly fitted combo....225/50 largest I would put on a 6.5" rim

Wheel gap remained the same fo me, and handling improved. The ride quality is the same as my old craptacular Khumo ecsta 712.

some other comments, please. I need lots of people to help with this. I want the widest most, awesome tires that will fit on here. I will probably order from www.tires.com, so I cannot talk to anyone about them, and the calculator on the site will not tell me which one will push the limits. I am sure someone on here has experience with this.

About to order some more tires.
I have already driven about 25,000 miles on those Falkens that I was talking about in previous posts last year.

I am wanting to go for a tire that fills in more of the wheel gap, but still has pretty good performance.
I think I already know the brand of tire I am going with, but I just need help on the sizing.
Help please....thanks.

1) See the tire size calculator and figure out what sizes you can run and still maintain the proper diameter. Or you can be a ricer and run some skinny tires and ingore the diameter.
2) Go to brand's website and see what are the recommended wheel widths for the tire sizes you are looking at.

BTW. Tire performance in areas of handling/noise/ride etc... is highly dependant on the tire brand/model you choose. Probably more so than the limited sizes you can actually run on some stock skinny maxima 16s.
