17's or 16's?

Has anyone who has an SE with the stock 17's gone down to 16's for the weight advantage? If so, can anyone recommend any good 16 inch wheel tire/combos? Thanks.

Soonerfan,

I'm just thinking about it right now but my family lives in Vienna so I'll let you know if you want to trade. Do you have the stock 16's or something else?

i downgraded from 17's to 16's. my reasoning is simple. i know i'm gettin aftermarket rims (19's) and so these stockers were going to be my winter wheels. someone gave me an offer i couldn't refuse for my 17's, so i traded for the 16's. thicker tread, better for the snow. i couldn't be happier. and i'm gettin my 19's in a month so........tha'ts how the story goes.

Polo,

That's cool that you did it short term although you're eventually going to be getting 19's. Has anyone thought about switching to 16's long term for performance reasons?
