i have a 2k1 5-speed. my friend with a 2k3 is going with a set of touring tires this summer for a smoother ride and longer wear. will they take some of the roughness out of the ride; or is it all in the springs/shocks?

 

min diff...depends on what tire you are changing from? I hate touring tires....the only thing they are good at is being quiet.

 

One of the best tires I ever had was a BF Goodrich (made/owned by Michelin) Touring tire, Quite, long life, medium side wall flex, good all season tire. Depends on the tire he gets. But he will notice a difference in the ride quality of his wallet, it will feel lighter!
