The tire guy said it would be the closest to having the speedo accurate 255/35/18 will I rub though?

I am confused though, Andrew has a 255 on his 8" wide wheel and it fits fine. My tire guy said you can fit a 255 on the 8" wheels, but offset is the biggest factor determining if it will rub or not.. What offset is your 8.5" wheel?
