"T" speed rated tires for a 4th gen? Too low?

"T" ratings are for 118 mph. Is that too low for the max? I don't GO 118, nor do I run @ the track, but they are WAY cheaper than an "H" or "V" tire.

Any help?

BTW, size will be 215-55-16 or 225-50-16 on a 7.5" rim.

Most of us will never take the tire to its limit. So heat is not the issue; the side wall on a T rated tire is going to be soft and you WILL loose performance. You should never downgrade your tire below what is OE. Nissan put the H on the car for a reason.

A great priced tire and a great tire is the Falken 512. Go to discounttiredirect.com or vulcantire.com

Good Point. I did not know what the OEM rating was. I will stay @ H or above. I am currently running Z rated.

Yeah, the problem is that T and S rated tires tend to be lower performance than a similar named model with higher speed ratings. The tire carcass is usually not as reinforced, so the tire will seem softer and less sharp steering. They tell us not to equate speed rating with "performance rating" but there's often an undeniable link.
