Say folks, I have 235/40-18 Michellin Pilot Sport A/Ss on 18 x 8" Mille Miglia Imperas. My fiancee hit a massive pothole (so she tells me
) and now I have 1 bent rim, 1 scratched but not bent one, and a tire that is in rough shape also. I'm also due to replace 2 tires anyway due to tread depth getting low. Question, should I buy 2 rims or only 1 and try to get one of the 2 damaged ones repaired? Also, I'm thinking of upgrading tire size to 245/40s instead of 235/40s but would only be able to purchase 2 now and 2 in 3 or 4 months. Is it safe to mount 2 different sized tires in this manner? Thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions.there is no issue with mounting two different size tires at all..the only issue you might run into might be rubbing in the rear of your car. I know that it can come into play...

Thanks Nupe...can you confirm then that someone HAS rubbed using 245/40s on an 18 x 8" rim...I believe my offset is 35mm. If that is the case then I'll just stick with the 235/40s.Originally Posted by nupe500
