Bridgestone actually is an excellent tire manufacturer. Unfortunately, you have experienced the mis-behaven red-headed stepchild of their tire line. I bought some RE950s for my old Max, and they were amazing tires. Pole Positions are also excellent summer tires. Don't let the RE92's dissuade you from considering other Bridgestones.

I have Turanza LS on my car. They have excellent traction in dry and wet conditions and the ride is very smooth and quiet. Can't comment on snow traction since we don't get much down here in TX. Tread life is also excellent.

Not that I'm a speed demon, but how well do your LS's corner?

The tires hold up well under high speed cornering. I've had the Turanzas on my car for awhile. Had them on my car with the stock 16s and decided to go with them again when I upgraded to 17s. They're kind of pricey though, but I think they are worth it. 16s should run ~$125 and 17s ~$210 per tire. They're not track tires but if you are a spirited street driver like myself, then I think you'll be very pleased with them.

The Potenzas are but not the Turanza LS-V's

I have them; I took off rough and noisy Michelin Pilot A/S's to install the Turanzas and love them....they are much smoother and quieter than the Pilots.

Do they have the same grip? I'm sure on a track the answer is no but during even very spirited road driving where u are silly to take any tires to the limit, they are an equal to the Michelins with much better manners.

have the re950's. Excellent tires. They sometimes get a little noisy. Wierd thing is they USED to be noisy at low speeds (low droning sound), but got better after wear. I didnt even notice till I rotated the tires and the rear ones went up front and the noise became noticeable again.
