Need some help with which rims to buy...

Hey everyone. I was going to get 17" MM Evo5's, but then i saw these Xtrim rims on ebay:

I really like them and they are only $325!! compared to the nearly $800 the Evo's cost.

What im wanting to know is, how heavy are the STOCK 5 star rims i currently have? the xtrim rims weight 21 lbs. each. i dont want anything heavier than stock tho.

Also, is there anything to be careful of when buying cheap rims like this? will the ride quality decrease going from my stock 16's to 17's?

any input is appreciated. thanks,

-todd

those don't look bad at all. If you are in a tight budget, you should get those.

yeah if i get enough money ill get the evo's. but im a little white boy and i dont really care for anything over 17". i like the stock-ish look. to each his own.

Hey DoGGy, if i did go with 18's, would the ride be pretty harsh? i dont want to sacrifice a comfortable ride. ill be getting to the tokico suspension kit when i get the rims too, so i dont want it to ride to harsh.

You probably won't be able to tell the difference between 17s and 18s; unless you got lowering springs and going over bumps and potholes but in Bakersfield, you will be just fine if you get 18s.

i dunno. i've never rode in a car with 18" to tell u the truth but i do know that the difference between 17 and 18 is not even going to be noticeable. you can get some really nice aftermarket springs for ur drop such as h&r and still maintain a good ride quality. i say save a little more and get the 18". you wont regret it, trust me.
