Based on this review, I'm having a set of 245-45R18's put on tomorrow. My lease is up in ten months, so I don't care if the tires go 40k miles. I hope for a smooth quiet ride with good handling. My price from the shop was $564 mounted and balanced.

 

The shop said they were mistakenly delivered 17's, and that my price quote was based on 17's, not 18's. They promised me the right tires and same price, though, if I take the car back again tomorrow.

 

Okay, the new tires are on the car, and they feel great. A little "vague" going into a corner, as someone else noticed, but very quiet! I really dig that asymetrical tread pattern.

 

i had the 512's on my stock 6 inc wheels (ive got a 2001 gle)

I have to say that the Zeix 512's tread life sucks...but they do GRIP

 

Well I recently got these Falken 512 tires on my maxima; put on 4,000 miles and I have to say that these tires are NOISY!!! Much more noiser than my previous 2 sets of tires (Continental ContiTouringContact and Dunlop SP Sport A2 Plus). Just a constant hum between 40-60mph. Gosh, if I knew the 512's were this noisy, I would of bought another tire.

I even rotated the tires but no help.

 

Earlier I posted about the noise factoron this thread. Two years later, the tread and quality of these tires are just as bad. My falkens shown signs of cracking on the sidewall and their tread is the same as the factory tires...which have 20k more miles on them.
