I see a lot of rims I like with a traditional bright silver finish, but I'd much prefer a darker matte grey, gunmetal look. Is there special paint for this purpose? Can you apply it yourself, and how good does it look? Thanks in advance.

 

There is a paint out there just for wheels. But, I know of people who used regular paint with no problems. Just make sure you clean the wheels VERY nice, use two coats of primer and get 3-4 good coats of paint and maybe 1-2 coats of clear and you should be good. Prep work is everything.

 

or you can get them painted for around $55 a wheel to perfection with couple layers of clear coat. my friend just got his rims powdercoated for $250...and for additional $100, he got his lips chromed...then again, those were for his Iforged
