Help rim offset question 7.5 or 8.5

Hello Org.
I need help choosing a rim width the rims I want come in 19x7.5 and 19x8.5 with a 45 offset according to the offset calculator;

19x7.5
The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 5mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 5mm.

19x8.5
The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 18mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 8mm

Just how much room is there to play with will I need hub rings with the 7.5s and would the 8.5s rub? To my knowledge 2004 max has a 40 offset right?

appreciate anyone's help.

BTW out of the two rims which look better

Foose Lusso
I think it's got a nice smooth look clean and not gaudy

or
Foose Speedster
A lil more aggressive makes the Max look "mean" don't really care for the rivets though.

Sorry if I have angered the Anit-Chrome Gods but these are the ones I want plus I think they are far from ghetto.

you'll need hubcentric rings regardless of which width you get. They center the wheel on the hub and have nothing to do with width or offset.

Don't get the first one. I have seen them here in Bham on a 2002 Black Maxima SE. They look good when not on a ride, but on the car in motion or sitting still, it looks wierd IMO. The second ones I have seen on a Cadillac Eldorado and they are very smooth looking. (sitting still and in motion.)

I say if you want to figure what you should do, think about getting a 40mm 19x8" wheel. Sure it may not be a .5 wheel and it may sit too perfect, but you won't have to worry about rubbing.

When you say wierd do you mean by the way they seem to go in towards the wheel well? Cause on their web sight they kinda look funny on the car they use (I think it was a Benz)

Could anyone recommend some nice five stars? I saw some sweet Axis Hagens on someones car here but I don't want to be a biter.

Yep thats exactly what I am talking about. It looks sooo odd. I mean I have heard of wheels having a sunken appearance, but these look totally odd. If you want some 5 star wheels and are willing to pay the money for them, you can go with a set of Maya DTS's, ADR Sterlings, Carre CS-2, Diablo Delta Foce or Lionhart, Kaotik Z5's, Konig Appeals, or Zenitti Five's. You can check these out at www.rimstop.com
