The New Rim Opinions Poll

I recently made a poll regarding the rims I'd like to put on a Polished Titanium '03. Well, things are changing slightly. First of all, I am thinking about rescinding my rule about 19" rims because one of my choices only comes in 19".
Second of all, I am exploring the option of plating two of my choices in black chrome or polishing them similar to the Titanuim Edition's stock rims.

Here are the revised choices:

OZ Racing Antares
Size: 18"
Finish Possibilities: Polished, Chrome or Black Chrome

Azev Type PS
Size: 18" or 19"
Finish Possibilities: Black Chrome, Chrome, or Silver

Axis Hagen
Size: 19"
Finish Possibilities: Black Chrome or Polished

ADR Sterling
Size: 18"
Finish Possibilities: Chrome or Polished

Lowenhart BR5
Size: 18" or 19"
Finish Possibilities: Black Chrome center with Polished Lip or chrome.

its really hard to vote since we are not looking at them installed on a max. u cant judge a wheel by how it looks, u gotta judge it when its on the car.

however, one thing i can tell u is that the OZ racing and the HAGEN's will NOT look good on a max based on what ive seen. they are bad a$$ on A4's but thats about it.

imma have to go with ADR Sterling since i can already tell that it looks good on a max.

btw, please consider 19" for the 03. 18" are way too small

The problem is that I haven't been able to find a rim with the level of aggressiveness I like outside of the ones I listed.

I am seriously exploring the Black Chrome option for the sheer fact that it would be different.

Do you have any pics of black chrome wheels, if so, post them.

Here's a ZR-1/Z28 SS rim to give you an idea of what Black Chrome would look like.

After seeing that pic, I am seriously considering the BR5 and Sterling with a black chrome center. If I did the Hagen, the entire rim would be black chrome.

I like big lips but then I don't like rivets because they are pain to clean.

If I had to pick one from the list, I would pick Hagen black chrome

The ADR Sterling with the spokes in black chrome wouldn't look too bad.

Turns out that Reliable does not do rims. I called another place and they said it would be outrageously expensive because they'd have to set up a rack for the rims and other parts I want in Black Chrome.

Will be looking into this further

the adr would be a pita to have the colored center/polished lip you want because it is a 1 piece wheel. the br5 would not be so hard because it is a multi piece wheel, but you will have to pay a decent amount of money for the lowenharts.

Freddie (who used to sell HIDs) has 19" Hagens on his 4th gen, and they look beautiful. I'd go with them in black chome.

I wonder how much powdercoating would run.

i know a guy out here who does powdercoating for $60 a rim, including stripping. i don't know if thats an industry average, but it gives you a starting point. keep in mind thats for 1 color, so if you want the polished lip i would expect to pay more.

If I were to get a street rim, right now, and keep my others for just the track, I would, without a doubt, get the ADR Sterling in Chrome.

For anyone who knows me, I am not someone to put chrome on things, though I do like shiny objects.

On a Maxima, those wheels with the sleek contours go very well with a 4G Max's smooth lines, especially if you have a Max that is Rosewood or darker.

I am seriously thinking about changing the center of the Angstrom to black and leaving the lip polished. Does anyone have a similar rim on their Max so I can get an idea of what it will look like? Polished Ti, Black, or Grey Lustre preferred.
