please list what tire you had originally and what you have now...and a brief story of how much better your acceleration and braking was before and after...

if you can't tell...it is tire buying time in a few months and I want to get a jump on the research!!

 

For combined braking/accel no other mod except drastic weight reduction can do what good tires can. For accel slicks offer .4-.6sec lower 60' times. For cornering wide race rubber can save 3%-7% time over cheapo street tires. Braking depends on the surface and direction but often the tires are the weakest link compared to pads, ABS, etc. My Maxima tires over the years included RSA, HTRZ2, KH11, Azenis, S02, Blizzak and ArticAlpin.
