235 front, 245 back... ok?

I blew one of my rear tires and no one will have the same one in stock for another 2-3 weeks. There's also no way i'll be running on the donut for that long (i'd say about 1500mi total).

That said, the same tire brand/model is available in 245 trim. Will it be okay to just replace both rear tires with that size while maintaining the front 235's? The fronts are relatively new so tread use is not a concern at this point. Any disadvantages aside from rotation issues?

Thanks.

p.s. they're going on 17x8 rims.

I wish i could just do that. Tirerack and every other tire place i've contacted in the past 2 weeks won't have the tires in stock for another 2-3 weeks.

Right now i'm running on an even smaller tire on one side (used) just to get by.

What kind of problems will i have running larger tires on the back?

Thanks for the responses guys.

You'll be fine staggering the rims. I think slammed has them like that and he says handling is improved.

Thanks again for the responses

Tirerack doesn't have the same tires i have in stock - 235/45/17 PZero Nero M+S. But they do have 245/45/17's.

I don't want to mix brands if i don't have to.
