I just wanna know why people use chrome rims. For what I know, alummium is lighter. Just because chrome rims are shinny?

I know I got chrome wheels when I had my 1997 was because that's the look i was going for. They matched my factory chrome trim and chrome exterior door handles. I don't care about wheel weight, racing, drag times, or any of that crap.

I got Hypersilver this time because I'm not into chrome anymore. I still don't care about the aforementioned factors in determining an appropriate wheel.

Uhm because people just like them? It's the same as asking why do people like pink cars, or black cars, or why people like x shirt etc. It's all a matter of personal taste, so what's the point of this?

Chrome in itself signifies spare change to move around but recently has been bastardazed to where everyone has chrome on everything.

Again, your whole viewpoint assumes that everyone likes chrome no matter what and you also assume that there must be a specific list of reasons why they are liked by some people. A rather unnecessary thread actually...

same reason people like ferrari tails, or 3" drops, or dark tint...it's all about looks. Some like it, some do not. I would ask why people like silver cars...I don't. But others do...it's all preference...

just out of curiosity, what kind of answer were you expecting? "Because people wanna look like rap stars" or "because chrome rims add 20 whp?"

Why do you care why or why not someone likes something? There is too much concern about what other people to do to their own cars. I wouldn't care if someone wanted to put 22" chrome spinners on an 87 Sentra with a big wing and some NOS stickers. I would think it was ugly as hell but since I didn't pay for it and don't have drive it I don't care. I have my own mods to worry about maybe you should try that too.

i got chrome doors on my house with matching chrome security rail guards for the windows. my fence is all chrome. you never have to paint it ever. i'm bling all year round! it matches the green grass.
