New Tires

Hi guys, I know its probably been discussed a million times, but what tires do you guys have on your 5th gens? Someone told me the best tires were the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, but most places are telling me like $225 for 225/50-17. I just wanted to know if there are any alternatives before I spend $1K on tires. Thanks.

I'm currently waiting for Falken Ziex 512. Lots of Max owners like 'em, but they sell like hotcakes... On backorder at Discount Tires.

Falken Ziex 512 too.

If you want to research on different names go to tiretrack.com, put in your vehicle info and you can read tire reviews by other Maxima owners.

if you have the money, Michelin Pilot A/S. If you want to save some money, Falken 512s.

Is there any difference in handling between the Pilot Sport summer tires and the Pilot Sport A/S? Because the A/S tires last a lot longer.

A/S is all season so handlingwise, not as good as summer tires.

Go with the 512's
the downside is they are on 60 day back order at discount tire and when i went in to get mine it appears that there are no left on the east 1/2 of the u.s.

Has anybody given an indication of how many miles they expected to out of the 512's after they had the tires on for a few thousand miles?
