OFFSET Question
OFFSET Question
What is a good offset for 17"x7.5" rims?
I was told no lower than 40mm and then I was told 35mm.
The rims I'm getting come in 35mm, 38mm, 43mm offset
I want the wheel to come out close to the fender not too much in and not stickin out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If that's the case, get a 38mm offset.
35mm, no? wen i had 18x7.5's, i had 42mm offset and that was pretty in there...i was told a 10mm spacer from a 42mm offset would make it pretty dang flush...so, with that said, wouldnt a 35mm be perfect? well, just in case, go check the offset calculator...compare with 9.5" width rim with a 45mm offset or a 8.5" wide rim with a 40mm offset...thats a perfect flush for me!

Which offset do you have on your 19x8.5 in front?
Does it rub AT ALL?
What tires you got?

What about 45mm, would that work?
According to the wheel offset calculator:
The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 13mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 13mm
Is this right?

The higher the offset, the farther the wheels are pushed farther into the wheel well. I dunno about that outside edge "extending" business, maybe they mean the gap between the fender edge and edge of the wheel will extend 13mm, which is true.
Thanks.
That's a meaty rim/tire to have on front without any rubbing issues, especially while turning. Glad to hear it.

For the rear. +27 / 8.5 up front in order to be flush.
