Correct offset for 5th gen.?

OK I have been looking @ the HP EVO's 18" and they come in 38 offset but stock 17" are 45 offset.

What offset is the best for 18" on a 5th gen.?

I don't want to have to use spacers!!!!

i think alot of 5th gens use 38mm so the wheel fills the wheel well better. spacers won't be neccessary.

I think on the HP evo rims the offset is not the problem. Because the lip is so large the backspacing is a bit more than most wheels. Thats why you need a spacer to push it out from the hub so it doesn't hit the dust cap. On a 5th gen offset is really just a matter of how wide your wheels are. Perfect offset is between 35-38. But you can run anywhere from 30-45.
