1st impressions of the falken 512's...

110% better than my craptenzas. i put them on yesterday before making a 300 mile commute up the turnpike. i was actually hoping for rain to come and sure enough it did. the rain was terrible. cars had their flashers on(idiots) and i was going about 55-60 flying past them with no traction issues whatsoever. on my way home from school about 2 weeks ago the max hydroplaced going 40 mph which scared the **** outta me. its not the 1st time its happened but its still scary. the sidewalls are def. harder which imo is better. it gives a slightly bumpier ride but i could care less. as for wet traction from a stop.. its alot better than OEM. before i could give it 1/5 throttle in the rain and it would be sliding... now i can give it over 1/3 and be ok. also im nto sure if its because of the tires, mouting, balancing or what, but between 60-70 there is a slight vibration. this might go away it might not but after 70 mph its fine. ill give my impressions of dry traction later on today and tomorrrow bu imo EVERY max driver needs these on their car is they have the stock rims. for the price they are worth every penny. althouh they were more than impossible to find.

I'm curious, why would turning flashers on when visibility is down due to strong rain make one an idiot?

As far as i can tell here in TX at least, that's playing it safe and IIRC actually a safe driving technique.

well down here they (the news stations) always say to keep them off because they distract people. i really dont care but when you put flashers on then going 30 mph when its not THAT bad out it annoys me and causes traffic to backup. i guess i should have clarified that. now if its terrible outside i dont think its a bad idea but ive never turned mine on.

Question, do they make the falken 512 as Low profile tires?

Got mine on order, glad to hear you like them. I'd have got another set of RE950s but since I bought them the price has gone up like crazy.
