offset specialist is needed......

Someone please calculate the proper offset for our rear tires so they sit flush with the fender.... this would allow us to avoid puting on spacers or buying staggered wheels... i know that it depends on the size of the wheels but if you know what your doing then incorperate all sizes... this would help everyone a lot... there has to be an offset that allows our rear tires to sit flush....

By no means am I a specialist but here goes...I've had a bunch of different wheels and if I had to guess it would be around 25mm on a 19x8.5 wheel. That would sit just about flush in the rear. No way would it fit in the front but the rear it should just work. If it was me i'd go with a 19x8.5 w/ 30 offset incase you really slam it. That way it doesn't rub at all.

I have to agree with Hamy that about 25 would be nice. I think someone has 10" with like 38mm and that must be less than 25mm on a 8.5 so who knows. This guy is trying to sel me some 18X9 with 15mm so I might try them on and then let you know. That would be insane if it fit but there is much more room back there than up front.

18x9 w 15 offset? Your wheels still stick out too far. I'm running 18x8.5 w/ 37 offset and I don't have another 22mm to push out. Ideal offset for our cars is 35-38

I never suggested they would fit and I very seriously doubt they will. Having said that I saw somebody running 10" wide rims with I think 35 mm offset which i similar to running 9 inch wheels with 22.5mm offset so yeah you are right it would be at least 7.5mm too much. We'll see. I am still going to get him to try them on just to see how much they would stick out. I could easily roll the wheelwell but that won't give me 7.5 extra mm. Oh well I guess I might just go with the 8.5 x 38 mm all around and forget about the staggered setup.

What's the stock offset on 2k2 SE wheels? If I upgrade to 8" wheels (18x8 or 17x8), what would the proper offset be? I had a problem with my old I30 where it rubbed in the back, and I don't want that to happen again.

stock offset is 45mm

I would go w/ 35-38mm for those sizes as well

so you are saying that 19 x 8.5 w/30 offset is perfect for the rear tires and it won't rub??? and is 35 - 38 offset good for the front???

What is your offset???

do you have any pictures on how your car looks with your wheels??? you can't really see them on your homepage.....

and what does this mean???
The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 4mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 34mm (8.5 /30 offset)

Here's my rims w/ 37 offset. Good offset w/ lugages and/or people in the back.

Where exactly does it rub? On the outside? IT looks like you got another 10-20mms there at least all you need to do is roll that fender.
Looks good though.

It doesn't rub yet. I'm not into rolling my fenders to fit wider wheels. Just got rims w/ correct offset.
