Decisions, Decisions (Wheels)

Man, I thought I had my mind made up on these wheels but I just ran into a few things that may have changed my mind and I'm looking for some input. Basically, I am still leaning towards the Axis Spider as seen on stevay's Maxima

...but I have always liked the looks of the SSR GT3 but could never afford the price of the wheels. Then, I saw wildmanal's car with wheels that looked identical and have made me second guess my decision. Here is a picture of his car

.

These rims (Exel DL-46) are much cheaper and in stock whereas the Spider's are 14 days out as they are on a slow boat from China (literally). So what do you think, vote or post your comments below; better yet, do both.

Assuming they don't weigh too much, those Exels seem like a GREAT deal. (and they look AWESOME!)
You gotta love that nice, fat lip on the Spiders tho.

The Spyders look good, but the GT3 knockoffs look sooo nice on the Max.

Yeah, I love the Exels. I saw them on a GS300 and they look beautiful in person.

You gotta love the Exel at that price. With the 235/35/19 tires the overall wheel diameter is about .25" smaller than the 2K2 stockers. They felt the same if not lighter than the stock rims when I was putting them on.

The only difference in appearance that I can see in the SSRs and Exels would be that the SSRs have one more button between each spoke, and SSRs also have a small hole drilled between each lug.

Life is full of decisions and currently I'm trying to make up my mind between Cattman headers or Matt's BBK for the front and rear.

Do you have hyperblack or gunmetal? I just looked and wheelmax is in Vegas so maybe I could just drive over and pick them up.

I think you can't go wrong with any of those wheels. However, I would prefer the SSR's out of your choices.

I say the Spiders. I like the looks of the SSRs, but these aren't them.
My vote: Axis

Exel DL-46 19x8 1pc cast =

SSR GT3 19x8.5 JDM 3pc forged =

I'm not a fan of knockoffs, whether they're a Konig imitation of Advan, an ADR imitation of Work, an R1 imitation of Volk, etc... I'm also the local NW wheel snob

I'm neither a fan of knock-off wheels, but those Exel's look much better IMO. Although the Axis' would probably be much lighter and better quality. The dish on the Spiders is awesome too.

Do you have the pictures of them installed yet? They're 1.5 weeks out still so I'm just waiting it out but I might just switch to the Exel.

I know I read somewhere that the SSRs are semi forged unlike the volk which are 100% forged. Yeah the Exel are cast, but if I'm going to pay $600 a rim. I'm gonna get something like volk that are 100% forged.

The spiders are pretty hot. I was going to get the Axis Hiros, but the cash flow right now is a little low.

I vote for anything but Spiders. They suck really. I wish I would've gotten some ADR wheels.

I have exel wheels on my car for 2 years and have had no problems. Just wax them once and a while and they will stay looking new for a long time.
