Do you mean Kumho's? I've heard only good things about Falken 512s.

Sorry to tell you, but 245/45 or 235/45 are too wide for you, since the rim is 17 X 7, your tire will be finished in 10.000 km or less, depending on your driving.

Lowering your profile from50 to 45 and getting the tire width from 225 to 235 or 245 makes the edge of the tire really hard. So by snapping 245/45 on the 17 x 7 will bend the edge of your tires to fit the rim and distort your alignment and mess up your tiers. Moreover, performance will be bad really bad.

Get new set of rims 17 x 8 for these sizes.
I would also drop your car 1.2 inch all around to get sweet look, stock clearance on tire size 45 is hmmmm what can I say just drop it 1.2 all around.

Best results for sizes not for tire quality are: 17 x 7 with 215/50, 215/ 45 (fast take off, very noticeable compare to 225/50.
17 x 8 with 235/45 or 245/45
If you have really good roads 18 x 8 245/40 and if you like the look and more or less care how long the tire lasts get 245/45 for 18 x 8.

I would say the best deals my friends found were at www.wheelmax.com
Also, wwwvicoriatires.com

Good luck!

According to Falken, the 235/45/17 are within spec () for the 17x7 rim. I tend to believe the manufacturer on this. Also, I have that size of the Falken 512s on my stock rims and no problems. That said, I preferred the Falkens in 225/50/17 that I previously had. Handling was better with the 225...the 235's because of the angled sidwall caused by the wider tire are not as stiff and handling is adversely affected.

245's are TOO WIDE and dangerous according to every tire manufacturer out there on a 17x 7 rim....

I'm wearing the same shoes....and they are bad a$$

I've had people tell me my 235's are too wide for the 17x7 rims, so I'd think the 245's are pushing it.

and here's some reviews on them and other tires...
