Is 235-40-18 not wide enough for 18 x 9 rims?

Is 235-40-18 not wide enough for 18 x 9 rims?

Is 235-40-18 not wide enough for 18 x 9 rims?

I like the way my 235-40-18 look on my 18 x 8 rims, do I need to go with a wider tire size to maintain that clean square look?

What tire size should I look for?

If any one could send of link me pictures of what tire size they have with 18 x 9” wheels, I would appreciate it.

Thank you!

And you picked yellow because????

They will fit on a 9" rim, but probly won't maintain that "clean square look".

Got sick of the white letters, so I tried blue, (but on the black background its hard to see!!) So yellow it was.

Would I be better of trying 245-40-18?

Pics Please!!

I agree, for a nine inch wide rim, run em wider to fill them in. Unfortunately our Max's do not take such wide tire. I think the max is 235 and some to 245.

I believe on a 5th gen...the widest you can go up front is 265 and the correct offset....anything more than 265 requires a lower offset without rubbing...but then it would stick out the fender and look rediculous......and i think the rears a 275-285 tire is the widest you can go with the correct offset.....without sticking out of the fender that is...

iirc......slammed95 tested these results with his 17x9 265's rim/tire on a 5th gen and got these results....correct me if i am wrong

235/40-18 is approved for rim widths from 8" to 9.5".

I wouldnt reccomend a 235 tire on a 9.5 rim, that is a very wide wheel

245s will be fine and square, but 255s would look fat and badass

You really think that would work? I mean 245 or 235 is good on an 8" wide, but on a 9"
