Tire Size for Stock 17s...

225/50/17... looks wise I doubt there will be too much of a difference, but handling will probably be better with the 225/50's... at least that's what I'd think from my limited experience...

Found this in another thread:
He has stock 17s too...

I would suggest purchasing tires in 225/50/17 as when I contacted Tirerack when I was going to purchase new tires for my OEM wheels, they would not sell me 235/45/17 as they were out of "spec" from the OEM size. They mentioned that size is more for a 7.5" wide wheel so I went with 225/50/17.

Sorry - I'm lazy. Plus, I had the 235s on 2000 SE 17s on my 98. I was just curious as to if anyone was making an issue of that same fitment on 2002s...
Thanks

Well, I don't think people have an issue with it really... you can see that Irish has it, but as Semy2k2go said, the vendor might not sell it to ya if its not to specs... so I'd think that opinions would be mixed here... its not a big deal cuz its not a huge difference as far as the fit goes, IMO... but I'm not responsible for your decisions...
