19 x 8 Moda R6 Rims on Maxima... question

Yo whats up all...

After years of dreaming about the moda's i finally dug up enough cash to get the 19 x 8 Moda R6 for my maxima. I know that winter is approaching so im going to have them mounted next spring. I have a few questions. I EVENTUALLY want to buy struts/springs (illuminas/eibach) but i don't think ill have enough cash by spring for them. I was wondering is it ok to mount the rims on my 2000 Maxima GLE without the springs and struts. I know its recommended but are there any problems that might occur? Im sure the struts will go out fast since there the GLE struts, but i wanted to know since im going 19 x 8 big i want to make sure. Any input is great guys and I thank you in advance....

Like he said, any 19's will make your car look even more 4x4. You won't get low enough to rub 19x8 unless you're running coilovers. Any spring/strut combo would be fine.

Will have too much wheel gap. I say wait till spring time, get some lowering springs and put them on.

Yes...excellent choice. I just picked up these 19's as winter wheels, so I can store the GT3's

19" winter wheels?!?! what are you running for tires? I only have 17" R6s for winter. the 19s are my summer wheels.

i'm going down to 18's...i know it sounds crazy, but these NYC streets have fought with me since i got them and they won vigorously. it's just impossible to roll on these and enjoy a comfortable ride w/out dodging potholes, speedbumps, or people. i gave in. i'm on the 16's now, gettin the 19's fixed and cleaned up, then selling them for some 18's.

19s are an excellent choice for rims and tires but that 4x4 look won't look to appealing after a while.
