You might wanna try 225-50-16s, they will fit. Speedo won't be off eighter. 235 will not fit that rim, it will bulge out the sidewall.

I run 235-55 on my 17 so i guess it should fit a 16 also. It does bulge out a bit but looks real agressive. It fills the wheel well like the car is dropped. The contiextreme is a good tire from what i see but i got the kumho extas and the perform wonderfully.

so stick with 225/50/16?

Tires

I got 225/50/16 on my '00 SE, and the tires look just right. I think any wider, and they'll look too fat and bulge out. Also the 235 may fit for the 17's but it depends on the width of the rim for the 16's.

I was in the same situation when replacing my tires for my stock 16's about two weeks ago. Went with the factory size.

Toyo Proxis 4's going on tomorrow perhaps!

www.edgeracing.com great deal!

Does anyone have any experience running the 225/55/16 tire? I know that it will change the speedo a little but for $73 per tire, it can't be beat. Is there a handling difference with the 50 series to the 55 series? Thanks
