300zx Brakes, calipers, wheels
Hi all, just askin for some help. Thanks. (2k gxe)
Can I use calipers from a 300zx on my car? Need anything? Will they be ok on my stock roters?
For the oem 16'' x 7.5'' wheels on the non-turbo 300zx, would I need wheel spacers? Will the wheels fit no problem?

you will need 300ZX rotors.... what year are the Z brakes from.... they came 26mm 90-91 and the later cars were 30mm.... you will also have to mod the Z rotors so they will fit the Max mounted caliper..... search internet for maxima 300zx brake conversion.. there are a couple of pages posted

I dont have any specific ones picked out but I was looking at the 90-91' model parts. if i were to get the rotors and calipers from the same car, would i still have to get a caliper modification kit? is this a big project?
I like the look of the rotars, calipers with the 300zx wheels. the calipers are really close to the rim, looks cool. I looked up the 300zx calipers, are they really gonna cost like $200 a pair? should the rear be smaller? do I like asking questions? haha

The 1990 N/A calipers were 26mm aluminum, the 90TT and all 91's were 30mm Aluminum, and all 92+ (both N/A and TT) are 30mm iron. You will have to shave the 300ZX rotors down, because by using the stock maxima mouting brackets, the caliper doesn't sit high enough and so the 300ZX rotor would hit the top of it unless you shave it down. If you want a BBK, Matt Blehm sells one that uses 300ZX calipers and 2004 Maxima rotors w/ a caliper relocation bracket. I think you'll need 17" wheels to clear it though. http://www.mattblehm.com/brakes.html. Don't forget that you'll need new brake lines for the front too, because the 300ZX caliper uses a different connector type than the stock maxima line.
