No roads are worse than NY/NJ. Get Illuminas and H&R's. It's said to ride exactly like stock, and some even say better depending on if there Stock setup was decent or not. Also, the drop on H&R's is nice and subtle, not too much at all. Def. not scraping material.

It will look good if your planning on going off roading...

Get H&R's with Illuminas the car will look totally stock with a great ride. Your going to have pretty bad wheel gap.

And dont worry you wont be scraping anywhere. i'm doing that now with my 17's

As long as you go with a small drop (H&R, h-tech, eibach, progress...maybe others) I would think you'll be alright. I'm sure there are plenty of stock cars in your area that are lower.

I think these rims are koo but if you do something like this, i recommend a drop because these 18" are about 1/2 inch thicker overall then my stock.

18s with no drop.

I never dropped my car. As long as you get the right size tire, they will look better than 17s and fill up more gap than stock. At least that was the case with me. I eventually got the stillen kit, but first I painted my mud guards and it looked much better. Get 245/40/18 and you should be happy.
I have lots of pics on my site.

Most people when they get the stock Maxima and 350z tires are too cheap to buy the correct tires so it fills up the wheel gap but it messes up the speedometer. If they were to keep the oversized tires with a drop, it would look like its tucking.

No

Most of you might be right, but my car did not need a drop. I researched the overall diameter before i made a purchase and the closest to the stock 225/50/17 was 245/40/18. Maybe because I had a speaker box in the trunk, but everyone always asked me if I dropped the car.
Just my opinion.
