Turanza LS-V 02 Max
I currently own an 02 Max SE. I am at 40k and am finally replacing the stock Re92's that sucked.
I live on Lond Island NY and can have bad winters.
I dont drive the car hard and i need a all season that is good in the snow and will last.
According to the reviews the Turanza LS-V and the Pilot Sport A/S are neck in neck in performance in all catagories. the turanza's are 30 bucks cheaper each as well
Problem is the Turanza's are back ordered for over a month. i wanted the assurance triple treads but no go in my size. anyone have any other ideas. i need something to last and like i said i dont drive it hard so i need something leaning toward good in snow and rain any help is much thanked

I wanted those tires bad...but they were sold out until December...everywhere...and that was 2 months ago. Since I needed tires then, I got Toyo TPTs. But I hear the LS-Vs are supposed to be great.

From people i have spoken to and reviews on tirerack, they are just as good if not better then the Pilot Sport A/S and are quieter. and 40 bucks a tire cheaper
Goodyear will be releasing the Assurance Tripletread in 225/50/17 in mid 2005.
It looks like i will be waiting till next month for these to come in stock. i cant see settling on something that will only **** me off

I will say just this: the Turanza LS-V's are the best tires I have ever had, period. Soft, smooth, quiet and with ultimate grip nearly equal to the Pilot Sports
Two observations: they do flat-spot easily in cold weather so the first two-three miles there is some perceived out-of-roundness and the other observation is that they are HUGE tires: the 225/50 Turanzas were easily half an inch larger -diameter and width- than the 225/50 Pilots so.....you can safely go with 215/50s and save some $$$$$

As for snow, only one brief experience and that was a light dusting -no problem but then again, prolly not a good test...
