Spacer help!

I want to get the 18x8 HP Evos that Maxedup is selling. I believe he said they're a 38mm offset. My car is lowered. How big of spacers can I get away with front/back? I remember in the 5th gen forum there were a bunch of posts about H&R for a while. Any thoughts???

With that offset -same offset as my SSRs, BTW- I personally would do no more than zero (no spacers) in the front and no more than 15mm in the back.

I guess if you wanted to go really far out you prolly could do 5mm in front and 20 in the back...I wouldnt, but that's me

The Maxes' rear track is just about 1.2 iches less than the front so...a 15mm per side difference front and rear (30mm total) is all you really need to get the 'even' look

If you wanna see what my car looks like with 17 X 7 wheels of the same offset, no spacers in front and a 12mm spacer in the back, look here:

Your car would have the wheels sticking out about a quarter of an inch more from where mine are...

I have these wheels on my 2k2. I have Maxspeed springs and no spacers. I agree with zero on the front. They are pushed out far enough.

And for sure no more than 15 for the rear. I had some H&R 15mm spacers on order, but cancelled because they were on backorder for so long. I don't know if they are available even now. In fact 15mm might cause rubbing on large bumps. 10mm would be better. But even without the spacers, they look pretty good.

Just get 5mm spacers and use your stock studs.
