Rims messing up bearings?

A friend told me if I get 18's they will **** up my ball bearings. How much truth is there to that? I've never heard that as being a downside to getting larger rims on the forum.

Thanks,
Dan

There's only 1 downside to getting larger rims. You loose ride quality. Due to the lack of sidewall flex. So you feel a lot more of the bumps. And also, since there's less rubber between the road and your rims. One good pot hole, and you could loose that rim.

You'll wear out your bearings from extreme drops; not from running 18s
