getting new tires and rims

Help me out... I am going to get Enkei RSV 18"s Here is a picture http://www.streetdreams.org/display....supplier=Enkei

but I have no idea what tires to get ... I don't like Kumho which is what is on my car right now, I think they slip too much... I am kind of looking towards toyo but since I really don't know all that much I was wondering if you guys could tell me what sizes, ratings and brands would give a comfortable ride and a less slippery ride ?

any information you guys can provide me with is awesome...

I recommend getting at least 8" wide rims

Thanks, but I already know the rims I am getting... I want to know a little more about tires and which ones are good and which ones are bad for the most comfortable ride.... so if any of you can give me more information let me know.

Are you planning on driving on snow at all? Don't buy summer tires if you drive in areas w/ snow.

Since you live in Cali, I doubt snow is really an issue. Which Kumho's do you have? MX, Supra712's, ASX's? Just Curious. A lot of guys around here on the org recommend Falken Ziex 512's or Toyo Proxes 4's. For your 18" wheels, you should probably get 235/40/18's. I'm also looking for tires in this size to fit my G35C's. I was debating about the Kumho ASX's, or the 512's. The ASX's are the cheapest, but they're all about the same price.$120-$135 per tire. Check Tirerack.com to read some of the reviews. You can also check edgeracing.com, tires.com, and vulcantire.com for some good prices. Good Luck!

Christina, go with the Proxes and avoid the 512s like the plague if you can. Read my sig.

512s are good all season tires and there are much better summer tires out there.

Wow, that was a quick decision! How much did you get the tires for, and where did you get them from?

PM me back when you try these out. Your weather in Cali is similar to mine in Hawaii. Just wanted to see how those were. I'm still debating over which tires to get myself!

Nice wheels, if money was no object, get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s great tires for the money.

Or if money was really no object, Michelin Pilots PS2s.........

You will be happy with them, I've had mine for about a month now and I still can't get over how well they stick in the rain (smoke my Yoko's), quiet too, I have absolutely no complaints, I'm assuming you got the 235's? Do you have an 8" rim? Enjoy.
