I know that down here, we have a guy named Todd. His companies' name is Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists. They do repairs on Alloy wheels, but it depends on the severity of the damage, and the finish of the wheel. We use him a lot for insurance claim work with OEM wheels, but he also does aftermarket. He typically charges about $100. He quoted me $50 for a small 1" gouge on my G35's. ( Personal price! ) and that was for a "spot repair." For the repair and full refinish of the wheel, it would have been $150. Not bad, as compared to buying a new wheel. Your wheel looks like a Hyper black finish, just like my G's, so I'm pretty sure there must be somebody up there that can do it for you. Good luck!

Call or go to your local Discount Tire, etc... and ask them where they send rims for repair.

I suggest sanding them it down and polishing it again with Mother's wheel polish. My friend bought these 3 piece Racing Hart C5s for 75 bucks. All the wheels were in terrible condition, just like the one in the picture. I used 150 grit, then 400 grit, then 2000 grit. After that, I just polished it with the Mother's polish. It took about 2 hours to do all 4 wheels.

With the 150, you will go all the way down until all the marks/scratches are gone. This is the most important grit to remove the scratches because its the roughest. The wheel will be still rough, but the scratches will be gone. Then you will need to apply water to either the sanding area, or the sandpaper or both for the 400 and 2000. Apply water, sand it until smooth and wipe off. Repeat if needed. Then just apply the polish a couple times and it will be good and shiny again.

The part you fixed is not chrome, just polished which helped you out HUGE this time. If it was chrome, repolishing the area would not have looked good. Nice wheels by the way

No, I didn't dismount any of the tires. The Racing Hart C5's didn't have tires on them in the first place. I actually left my SSR wheel/tire on the car when I fixed the scratch. I was lazy to take it off.

Yes, they had clearcoat on them, which was chipping off. I removed it by sanding it off, along with the scratches. I did not reclear them (honestly, I don't think you need to).

I did my SSR wheels when they were still on the car. Just try to avoid the tire and you should be fine. If you touch the sandpaper on the electric sander to the tire accidently, just make sure that you don't hold it there for too long. It shouldn't be any problem.

You can definitely sand by hand, which is safer for the tire but is much slower to yield the same results.

It sounds like the clearcoat is coming off.
