Lowering without rims...

If i wanted to lower my car (springs & struts) but i have the stock hubcentric wheels from nissan, would the hubs be under strain or break; or would they be ok?

Rims don't have much to do with what you're talking about.

The wheels will be fine. The main stress caused by lowering is put on the shocks which is why you can't use the OEM ones for a long period of time.
