inside shoulder tire wear

I noticed last summer that my 2k max se was badly wearing the first 2" of the inside of the front tires. I had an alignment done and the car was only out by 1/32" of an inch. It of course it continued to wear unevenly. Is this a problem related to my struts? The shop said that they were unadjustable but I thought that camber was. Please help, I'm toasting another set of tires prematurely.

Camber is not adjustable, officially. But, a good shop will know that they can use the slack in the stock mounting bolts to adjust camber a little. I had my alignment done last week and the shop was able to get my camber on the right side changed from -1.3 to -1.0.

Toe out and excessive negative camber will cause inside edge wear.

I don't know what shape your car is in or milage, but even though your car is only 5 years old I would get all the suspension components and wheel bearings checked first. Something like worn control arm bushings could also cause this, especially when under load (which you might not see at rest). There is also the possibility of BENT parts from some sort of accident or large impact.
