245/45-17 on Stock 5.5gen 17" rims??

I have finally decided on what 2 tires I am going to get this week:
1) Kumho MX
2) Falken Azenis Sport/RT-215

My question is if 245/45-17 tires fit properly on the rims. I would hate to have to return my new tires (which I doubt I can do) or have a blowout due to the fact that they don't fit securely to the rim. Do any of you have tires this wide on your stocks? I like 245/45-17 becuase its the closest match to 225/50-17 in terms of not affecting the speedo.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Forget about 245 fitting on the rims... I just realized that is too wide.
I am looking at the following tires as a result:
Pilot Sport A/S or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
225/50-17... What do you think?

I say get the Goodyears....they are much cheaper than the Michelins plus I heard they are real sticky and quiet too....treadware is 280 which doesn't sound so bad for summer tire.....
