Haha yea but i do really like the look of the lowered max better. But alot of my friends like it better looking like a 4x4 cuz they say it looks more buff. I dono? But yea depending on how much i have to pay total to get the illumina and springs and get installed and alinged may make me change my mind. Thanks for the comliments. DigitalTexan2u you wheel gaps just about the same as mine i dont mind it that much but i like ur car alot very clean.

maybe you non lowered guys should consider a thicker profile tire like 225 50 17 the 2000 maxima runs that stocs and although i dont like the gap of all the stock maximas I could tolerate that the most

I like the "almost stock" look of a fellow Nissan rim. Huge improvement over the saw blades. Do you happen to know how much the Murano rims weighs? Just curious.

Not the rim by itself only with the tire on it at about 38 p.s.i.. But i put it on my scale and give or take a few lbs it was 45lbs. Compared to the sawblades with tires on it at 43lbs.

For me personally, it's a "Been there, done that" feeling. My car before the Max was an Integra I had lowered. I've got a family now and my wife drives the car a lot. She has asked me not to lower the car because she "doesn't like it". I have to respect her wishes as she does drive it a fair amount. Living in Northeast Ohio isn't exactly the ideal location to drive a lowered car. The Integra got stuck in the snow quite a bit. I had the exhaust system repaired or replaced more than i'd care to think of. There are also potholes that loved to eat up cars. When I sold the Teg, the underside of it was scratched to hell.

For me, i'd rather have some aftermarket rims rather than have my car sitting 1"-2" lower on stock rims.

Been considering the Muranos for a while now. Any fitment problems, or good match out of the box? How much are you guys paying for the Murano rims?

you can go on Ebay anytime and pick them up for $50 a piece. Dirt cheap for 18's that weigh LESS than my stock 16's.

Tex, did you have any issues fitting these rims on your Max? I've got a 98 SE myself.

The rims fit perfect. Everyone that i talked to b4 i had them put on was like there not gona fit (everyone cept the people on the org.). They cost me $642 off ebay with brand new tires. Sure there not the best tires but there still new and i needed new ones. If you look at the one pic i took a shot of the max from the back and the tire doesnt stick out at all. I have 235/40s on there.

None! Simply threw them on...centered right up, bolted on. There is ZERO fitment issues with these rims.

Excellent stuff, men. I think they look great. How do they perform, ride, etc.? Sorry for all the questions. I live in PA about 60 miles from Philly, so our roads are pretty awful most times. Do you feel a noticeable difference in how they handle as opposed to the stockers? I currently have the stock SE rims on my SE.

if anyone is intrested, i made an offer to someone selling a set or these rims with very low milage on them.. i think like 50 miles if im correct.. anyway, they had wanted 450 for them, i offered 300 plus actual shipping cost and they agreed.. i just ordered a different set of rims, so i dont need them.. if anyone is intersted ill give you the sellers contact info.. and btw.. the ones on ebay for $50 a peice, dont include the center cap..

Has your handling suffered at all?

The handling i think has only gotten better. Making turns is alot easier especially when turing into parking spots. I dono i think its prob from the wider wheel base. The only thing that sucks i noticed last night is that i was going about 80 on a back street and there were a bunch of little bumps so the ride quality suffered alil there compared to original stock.

Those really look great on 4th Gens...nice cars!

I'd love to see pics of a 5th Gen with those wheels. Has anyone out there done or seen that?
