suggested tire size for sawblades

im in need of new tires and was wondering what the max width we can go on sawblades. i believe the wheels are 15x6.5. im looking for a wider contact patch so would 225/60 be alright? and have any of you used Yokohama AVS dB s2? and feedback would be appreciated.

Richard, honestly I'd say stick with stock 215/60/15...the 15x6.5 stock sawblades is pretty much maxed out with a 215 width tire...I'm sure you can run 225 no problem in a straight line...but don't get 60 series...run 55 series or else it would look way too big....

and if u are looking to get a wider contact patch....you have to upgrade your rims too....so u can support the tire...stock rim width is just too narrow for us...i mean come on now 6.5 wide....can't work with that much....

if you just want to upgrade to some nice tires and leave everything else stock....then i highly recommend the stock tire size over anything else....215/60/15...

I ran 225/60 AVS dbs on my sawblades...... no problems.... they are a little on the large size for a 6.5" rim..... I went with the 60 to help fill the fender gap and smooth the ride for my wife...... the Max was her driver at the time
