5th gen wheel hop

from a dead stop, when i accelerate hard my car does this very annoying wheel hop and doesn't grip the road. instead, it bounces and you have to take your foot off the accelerator. even when i'm going about 10mph and floor the car, there is wheel hop. anyone know what causes this. my tires are brand new.

Are you being serious? The hop is happening because of the amount of power being put to the wheels when you "floor it", along with the suspension (which I'm assuming is still stock).

What kind of tires? ES motor mounts and an upgraded suspension will all help reduce wheel hop.

When I first got my SSRs, I had major wheel hop too. The tires where 245/40/18 Azenis ST-115's also, but they were worn out. After I replaced the tires with Falken Ziex 512s, the wheel hop was completely gone. The wheel hop could be a cause of the stiff sidewalls that the ST-115's have. I experienced wheel hop with the Falken Azenis Sports tires on my turbo H22 Accord too a couple of months back. I took them off soonafter.

aww man, i'm upset now lol. i just bought these st115's and i was excited that there wouldn't be any wheelhop, since i experienced it with my old worn out tires. now my next plan will be to buy the ziex 512's. thanks.
