McGard - Splinedive / tuner locks

I’m in the market for some serious wheel protection.

I’m guessing splinedrive is a cone-seated wheel lug that just uses a standardized McGard key.

The supplied lock has a computer-generated key.

And that by using two wheel locks on opposite sides, a person can pretty much achieve maximum protection you can get form any wheel lock.

Now my question is, is there any thing better?

I don't understand "And that by using two wheel locks on opposite sides, a person can pretty much achieve maximum protection you can get form any wheel lock."

I got a mcguard installation kit. It had 16 splines, and 4 special keyed locks. And it had chrome air nozzles.

Wheel locks will only slow them down. If people want your rims, they will steal them. I used to run 2 sets of wheel locks along w/ custom wheel lugs.

...I'm assuming the rest of your thought included that even with those measures, your wheels were stolen, but that's just me.

To the original poster, purchasing two different keys will in fact slow someone down, but two wheels stolen is still going to suck.

I didn't get my rims stolen. Used them to be safe but I'm running OEM wheels now so much less worries.

Nope, not really. 2 wheel locks plus an alarm is about all you can do.

On another note, what kind of paint did you use and how did you go about painting your mud flaps? they look really nice.

I was talking to a Tirerack rep about wheel locks and some guy bought 4 different sets for his car. Used locks as lugs.
