19x9 or 19x8 on a 2k2 Max
I think 19x9 at all four corners would work @ 30mm offsets....255/35/19 is the tire you want....
just for reference...I am 8.5 wide @ 42mm offset with 245/40/18....i am slammed over 3.5 inches from stock...and my fronts rub slightly only when locked out to the left....I think if I got my rims in 35mm offset...they wouldn't rub at all...

If you had a lower offset, you could possibly rub more. Because the outer edge of the wheel/tire is farther away from the steering axis, so it swings in a wider arc when you turn the wheel. Torque steer under acceleration and braking would also be more pronounced.
mad wayz: go with the 8" and avoid fitment issues.

I had a 4th gen with 245's and 8.5 wide rims....it cleared perfectly fine....I don't see how a 5th gen with a bigger fender wheel well can't add 255's on 9 wide rims......
