Need help with tire size?

I anyone can give some advice I would appreciate it. I am buying new tires and have decided on the Toyo Proxes 4 but I don't know what size tires will fit the wheels I have. I am currently running 17" wheels from a 2004 Maxima. When I bought got them they already had Continental Tires (225/50/17) on them. I would like to change the tire size to a 235/45/17 but I am not sure if the tires willl fit these rims. I currently have a stock suspension and I know the wheel gap will be pretty big with the lower profile but am planning on changing the suspension soon. I you guys can let me know if this tire size will work without any promblems or cna recommend a tire size that would work better I would appreciate it.

245/45-17 tires would be closer to your stock tire height, but would likely require 8" rims.
